COMMUNIQUE N°198
|
A
CNDD-FDD / FNL joint statement ?
|
1. The CNDD-FDD denies the AFP quotation on November 25th, 2001 according to
which the CNDD-FDD should have signed a joint statement with the FNL. In fact,
the use of the CNDD-FDD name is an act of piracy of which the small group
of the anarchists led by Mr
Hussein RADJABU and his Assistant, Mr Peter Nkurunziza are responsible. It is a
real imposture.
2. While rejecting the call in which Colonel Jean-Bosco NDAYIKENGURUKIYE,
General Coordinator and Chairman of the Politic Bureau, asked to meet them for a
dialogue and a return to order, the small group of the anarchists run away and
joined the FNL ranks. At first, the above mentioned group of the anarchists
drifted and tried to join the G7 team on November 12 -13th in a meeting held in
Kigoma which Hussein Radjabu himself attended. With the failure of the meeting,
they then drift towards the FNL.
3. In other words, despite the November 24th imposters's communique, the
CNDD-FDD's policy about negociations has not changed. In addition, our Movement
is still keen to the peaceful and non-aggression policy with the FNL
because we are fighting the same enemy. And nothing more. Colonel J.B.
NDAYIKENGURUKIYE has initiated this policy since 1997. Furthermore, the CNDD-FDD
advises the FNL to be aware of the unfairness of those anarchists joining it.
Indeed, Radjabu and his supporters are manipulated by our enemy. In
addition, anyone of them puts forward his own interests that are often
different one from another. Some of them would like to escape out of financial
control, others look for an alibi to join Bujumbura Government, whereas some
others dream about leading the CNDD-FDD while admitting their own inability to
undertake a fair rivalry. Thus one could conclude
their drift and their cacophony.
4. In any case, the CNDD-FDD reiterates its commitment to go on negociation
process started in Libreville according to the framework set up on January 9th,
2001 and renewed on April 18th, 2001.
On behalf of the CNDD-FDD,
Jerôme Ndiho
Spokesman.
