Burundians Responding Against Violence and Inequality (BRAVI) is a five-year USAID funded program in Burundi to prevent and appropriately respond to sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) through gender norms transformation, health provider strengthening, multisectoral coordination, advocacy, and sharing of best practices. In implementing BRAVI, we will strategically build on available momentum, resources, and models, expanding and improving SGBV work already implemented in Burundi by EngenderHealth’s RESPOND Project.EngenderHealth is currently looking for qualified Burundian nationals for the below positions :
Technical Advisor:Reporting to the Senior Country Manager BRAVI, the Technical Advisor will provide technical and programmatic guidance to the BRAVI project and will oversee implementation of both GBV services and GBV prevention programming. S/he must possess a Master’s degree in public health, gender/women’s studies, social work, sociology, education or related field ; S/he will have a minimum of 8 years of programmatic and technical experience in gender, social work, or public health. Minimum of 6 years of experience with GBV programming (i.e. training, designing curricula/manuals, evaluation/research, and/or program design) and a minimum of 4 years of successful experience in planning, implementation and monitoring of gender transformative programing to prevent GBV or promote gender equity.S/he needs to have very good language skills in both written and oral English and French. Fluency in Kirundistrongly desirable.
Program Officer, Monitoring &EvaluationReporting to the Senior Country Manager BRAVI, s/he will be primarily responsible for assisting in managing and supporting BRAVI monitoring and evaluation (M&E) functions, including tracking and processing data for output, outcome, and impact project indicators and ensuring implementation of the project M&E plan.S/he must possess a University degree or advanced degree in demography,public health, epidemiology, or biostatistics. At least 3 to 5 years proven experience in gender, HIV/STI and reproductive health-related monitoring, evaluation and research.Solid command of Microsoft-Word, Excel, Access, information systems management, database design & management, data analysis and reporting, including Epi Info and SPSS/Stata/SAS.proficiency, Ms Access in data management and analysis programs ; Experience in designing and implementing M&E systems.S/he needs to have very good language skills in both written and oral English and French. Fluency in Kirundi strongly desirable.
