Position : Receiving Warehouse Clerk, FSN -4/FP-AA

Work Hours : Full-time ; 40 hours/week
BASIC FUNCTIONS
The Receiving Warehouse Clerk prepares receiving reports using the department computer program for all incoming furniture, furnishings, supplies and equipment, locally procured, international, and/or stateside, verifying the items received against their respective procurement documents. He/she will have to register manually those not procured by post.
The incumbent works as warehouse person for the Receiving Unit, ensuring, under the direction of the Receiving Clerk, that the Receiving warehouse and storage areas are kept well organized and clean. Given many heavy items, he/she must be able to lift and carry heavy items.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
Education – Completion of secondary school and a clerical course.
Work Experience – One year of work experience with inventory and supply replenishment. Language Proficiency –Level III, Speak, read and write English, French and Kirundi at Level III required(these will be tested).
Knowledge : Familiarity with office, construction and maintenance supply and equipment terms in English.Computer literacy, databases, Microsoft Word & Excel.
Skills and abilities : Typing skills 40 WPM required (this will be tested). Ability to keep accurate and updated records related to receiving duties and retrieve information quickly, good communication techniques, and effective organization habits in the work place.
