BASIC FUNCTION OF THE POSITION
The Project Management Specialist (HIV M&E/QI/QA) is in the PEPFAR team. The incumbent to this position will be the key public health advisor on HIV Quality Improvement/ Quality Assurance and Monitoring and Evaluation to the PEPFAR Team Lead. S/he is responsible for providing technical leadership and serve as the subject matter expert for USAID/Burundi and PEPFAR on HIV QI/QA and M&E agenda, and support the PEPFAR Team with setting strategic, technical and programmatic direction for the HIV care and treatment portfolio. The incumbent will ensure the integration and implementation of National QI and QA protocols the PEPFAR portfolio, including antiretroviral therapy (ART), Prevention of mother-to-child HIV transmission (PMTCT), pediatric ART, TB/HIV care and treatment, and clinical lab services.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
EDUCATION:A clinical degree (nursing, MD or other), related to public health and HIV prevention, care and/or treatment services, health informatics, statistics, health economics or related field.
EXPERIENCE :At least five (5) years of mid-to-senior level public health experience in developing, managing, implementing and evaluating HIV Prevention, Care and Treatment programs including monitoring and evaluation that involve coordination with an international agency, ministry of health and/or implementing partner is required
