BASIC FUNCTIONS : Located in the Public Affairs Office, incumbent serves as the primary assistant to the Public Affairs Officer on the management of public diplomacy resources, including the administration of all public diplomacy grants. S/he provides administrative and logistical support for public diplomacy activities and is the section’s primary liaison with the embassy management section to ensure adequate support for public diplomacy activities, events, and office activities. The position has no supervisory responsibilities.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
EDUCATION:An associate degree or two years of full-time university studies in business administration, financial management, organizational management, accounting, public administration, or a local equivalent field is required. EXPERIENCE:A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in a major organization in budget, accounting, business administration, financial management, organizational management, public administration, program/project management, or grants management work is required. JOB KNOWLEDGE:Knowledge of basic accounting, financial, and program management principles required.LANGUAGE:Level 4 (Fluent)Speaking/Reading/Writing English is required. Level 4 (Fluent) Speaking/Reading/Writing French is required.SKILLS AND ABILITIES : Word processing and spread sheet computer skills required. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to focus on multiple tasks simultaneously, are required. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines and changing priorities are also required.
