A. Key Responsibilities
1. Operations & Maintenance for BILLING products& equipment like Zsmart Web servers, CSIP, SA, Billing Hosts, and all other Billing nodes including 3rd parties system connected to the billing system. (Installation, commissioning, integration, upgrading and maintenance).
2. On-site technical support in liaison with ZTE 1st2nd and 3rdlevel support.
3. Resolving all Billing faults problems that occur in the network.
4. Execution of emergency action plans in liaison with ZTE high level support.
5. Escalation of emergency hardware and software faults as outlined in the escalation procedure.
6. Billing systems (applications & databases) performance management and producing Billing system performance reports.
7. Constant Billing Accuracy and CDR’s generation check.
8. Provide guidance and technical training for junior Billing engineers/technicians.
9. Implement new requirements (tariffs, promotions…) in liaison with marketing team.
10. Carry out any other tasks that may be reasonably assigned by the head of department.
B. Education
Bachelor’s Degree or above in computer field (Applications & Software’s development).
C. Knowledge and Skills
1. Excellent problem solving, analytical, and people management skills
2. Proficient in Oracle/Sybase/MySQLand other RDMS databases, UNIX/Linux/Windowsoperating systems, and cluster operation system,good understanding of ZTE Billing & VAS products.
3. Good working knowledge of :
a) Database administration &use of Structured query Language (SQL)
b) Python / SHELL Scripting.
c) SOAP, XML, JAVA, .net
d) Web services.

7. Must be a team player with leadership skills
8. Very sound leadership and interpersonal skills (The ability to lead others towards the attainment of set goals)
9. Very strong communication skills and the ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing.
10. Knowledge of ZTE Billing equipment’s & systems will be an added advantage.
D. Experience
Minimum of 4 years hands on working experience in Telecommunications Billing & VAS systems.
